A true eco wilderness retreat with no road access! Guests arrive by air or water only. Hand built with local logs, the lodge and cozy guest cabins are located on the shore of Tagish Lake. Easily reached from Whitehorse, the setting is picturesque and peaceful. Guests have access to a range of outdoor activities, including boat trips and hiking in the nearby mountains. A wilderness retreat with unspoiled views, home cooked meals, comfortable cabins and charming staff is an experience to remember.
The main lodge is the focal hub, here you can meet fellow guests from around the world in the dining and relaxing living room. Home cooked meals are a daily highlight. Sauna, wood heated hot-tub and washrooms are conveniently found in the main lodge. Environmentally friendly and silent solar-power is ample for lights, music and VCR. No noisy generator.
Guest cabins are hand built from logs and have queen-size or single beds and sleep 2 - 3 persons. A wood stove, chemical toilet and log-built furniture and propane lights are among the comforts of your cabin. Enjoy the solitude on the sunny porch and listen to the birds and squirrels in the nearby trees. All cabins are within sight of the main lodge. Cabins are non-smoking rooms! Tagish Lake!
A team of Siberian Huskies are part of the family and share the special wilderness lifestyle. The huskies are used in winter for sled pulling while touring with guests. The owner has participated with his team in the Yukon Quest International Sled Dog race (1600km) between Whitehorse and Fairbanks. The property and activities are adult oriented and children over 16 years are welcomed.
Boats, canoes, mountain bikes and fishing gear may be rented at the lodge.
